Meet the Founders
Karthik Ganesh
Co-founder
Karthik has spent 17 years working across the full spectrum of energy storage, from flow batteries and lithium-ion to solid-state technologies. Grounded in a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis where his research focused on lithium-ion batteries and hydrogen fuel cells, he has built expertise across the full battery stack: from cell and pack engineering to analytics, physics-based modelling, state estimation and performance testing.
His career has taken him across three continents, working with organisations including Mercedes-Benz, QuantumScape, Vestas and Sun Mobility, spanning both the EV and stationary storage worlds.
These days, when he's not thinking about batteries, his toddler daughter and their dog make sure he's never short of chaos or perspective. He once did parkour. Now he considers chasing a toddler sufficient training.

Akshay Kumar
Co-founder
Rooted in numerical modeling, Akshay has spent 17 years at the intersection of advanced simulation and real-world industrial applications, building simulation products across energy, mobility and healthcare. His work has spanned coupled electrochemical-thermal battery modelling, physics-informed neural networks and a cardiac diagnostics product that combined image processing with computational physics.
Previously at Mercedes-Benz R&D, Oorja and COMSOL, his focus has always been on translating deep engineering methods into products that actually get deployed.
Outside of work, he approaches most things with the same precision he brings to engineering, whether that's experimenting with the perfect coffee brew, or taking badminton considerably more seriously than a casual game warrants. He is also, by his own admission, unreasonably committed to his shoe collection.
